Title:
Kinkaku-ji
(Golden Pavilion)
I painted Kinkaku-ji reflected in the still waters of its garden pond, creating a mirror-like image that highlights its quiet elegance.
This iconic Zen temple in Kyoto is renowned for its upper floors covered in gold leaf. More than its brilliant beauty, I was drawn to the sense of peace and harmony that fills the entire garden.
As I strolled slowly along the garden paths, I found myself imagining the shoguns who may once have walked there centuries ago, taking in the same tranquil scenery. The still water, carefully designed landscape, and timeless atmosphere seemed to invite me to pause and appreciate the beauty of the present moment.

Through this painting, I hope to share not only the beauty of Kinkaku-ji itself, but also the quiet sense of reflection and calm that I experienced there.
